Privacy policy

Stylasso is a browser extension that shows the colors, fonts and other style values of a web page you choose. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.

What Stylasso reads

Only when you click the Stylasso icon, and only on that tab: the page's computed styles (colors, font families, sizes, spacing, radius, shadows, gradients), the CSS variables defined on the page, the names and samples of the fonts it loaded, inline SVG graphics, icon links, the page address, its title and its site name. To weigh fonts and colors it counts how many characters use each one, but it does not keep or send the page's text, and it does not read form fields, cookies or your browsing history. Access to the tab ends when you leave the page.

What is stored, and where

The kits you scan (the values above, the page address and title) are saved in your browser's extension storage so you can open them again. Free keeps your last 5 kits, Pro up to 100. You can delete any kit in the full view; uninstalling Stylasso deletes all of them. Your license status is stored the same way.

What leaves your device

• Share links, only when you press Publish. The kit's colors, font names and font samples, type scale, spacing, radius, shadows, gradients, detected frameworks, the site name, the page address without its query string, the date, and a preview image are uploaded to stylasso.pixlasso.com to create a public page anyone with the link can open. The page title, page text, images, logos, icons and CSS variables are never uploaded. Share pages are not listed in search engines. You can unpublish from the extension at any time, which deletes the page. To limit abuse, our server keeps a one-way hash of your IP address combined with the day and a secret; it cannot be turned back into your address.
• License checks, only if you activate Pro. Your license key and a device label are sent to our payment provider, Dodo Payments, to activate the key and to re-check it about once a week. Stylasso does not store your email address.

Nothing else is sent to us or to anyone else.

Our website

stylasso.pixlasso.com counts visits to the Pro page, to the uninstall page and to pages opened from a link with a source tag (for example ?src=share), per day, tag and country only. No IP address, cookie or identifier is stored for these counts, and no analytics script runs. "Get Pro" links name the button you clicked so we know which feature leads to purchases; that tag is passed to Dodo Payments with your order. Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments under its own privacy policy.

Uninstall page

When you uninstall, your browser opens an optional page asking why. Choosing a reason is counted like the visits above (reason, day and country only).

Limited Use

Stylasso's use of information received from Chrome and Microsoft Edge extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising or creditworthiness, or transfer it except as described above.
